The other day at day care, Thomas broke his spiderman flip flops. Those were the only sandles Thomas had. So after we picked them up and fed them dinner we went to Payless for shoes for Thomas. It took about 2 minutes or Thomas to pick out a pair just like dads and then he found the toys and started playing. So I thought I would glance at the shoes in Caitlin’s size and found a very cute pair of jelly’s. Now we all have to have jellys as kids, right? So as Chris held her I put the shoes on her and we set her down to walk. She walked around proud and then plopped down in front of the rack with her size shoes and started pulling pairs off. She would put one under her arm and hold the other one up for me to put on her while she was holding one foot up in the air. Then as I would attempt to try them on her she would pull more pairs off and hold up her other foot. 15 months and she already has a shoe fetish. She gets it from her Mimi.
These are some pictures of Caitlin with all her shoes. I went to get her out of bed this morning and she was pointing at her changing table saying “shoe, shoe”. She loves her shoes she goes and gets them, brings them to me, then holds one foot up in the air so I can put them on. What a mess.

They say little boys just know that anything with wheels is super cool and they are drawn to those toys. I guess the same goes for little girls and shoes. Since this is an inherited jean from Mimi, I would assume that Mimi will keep her stocked and be Caitlin’s shoe shopping partner.

How cute! I agree about Mimi and her shoe fetish! I am SURE Caitlin comes by it naturally! And….by the pictures here it looks as though my great niece doesn’t lack for shoes!
Caitlin and I are going to have fun shoe shopping when she gets a little older (like 2). I can’t wait until she is a size 6, then we can share shoes!
